Keeping the (upcoming) autumnal mood started yesterday going, I've combined some other great products today... By rocking Wet Shaving Products Sandalwood #soap and L'Occitane en Provence Eau des Baux #balm, #deo and #EdT.

Perhaps not surprisingly, I've already done an extensive review of Wet Shaving Products Sandalwood as well as a review of L'Occitane en Provence Eau des Baux. Alas, I won't be adding anything new today, except to say that each of these products is well worth it. I'd go so far as to say that Eau des Baux is probably one of the better kept secrets out there. I haven't seen anyone else using it, and that's a shame. It's awesome.

FYI, as I typically do in these mixed-source SOTD/reviews - in the chart above, I split up the ratings across the bars... I averaged the overall experience on the first bar, soap on the second bar and the balm and EdT on the last two. It's always best to check out singular reviews if you want the undiluted specifics for each product.

Technically, #loccitane Eau des Baux doesn't have any sandalwood in it, rather top notes of pink pepper and cardamom, middle notes of cypress and incense and base notes of vanilla and tonka bean. That said, a little sandalwood action courtesy of #wsp_shaving fits right into the mix and made for a lovely segue. All in all, warm, woodsy and spicy. Just what the doctor ordered when thoughts turn to the fall season.

Hardware today was perhaps a little predictable if you've been following along this week. The all-black #StandardRazors razor with a #Feather blade on shave four did the cleaving, while the #WildWestBrushworks custom brush made sweet, sweet love with the soap in the #GTP scuttle to produce abundant lather effortlessly. The added warmth really added to the overall mood and kicked the sandalwood scent of the soap a notch higher.

Oh, yeah. While I enjoy the fall, it's not necessarily my favorite season. At least in general... When it comes to shaving software, autumn is one of the seasons for awesome scents. Practically every artisan releases (or re-releases) some real bombshells during this time. I might suggest using the search feature on this site and trolling through the posts and reviews for ideas. For example, "autumn" and "fall." Besides today's offerings, yesterday's shave with L&L Grooming Darkfall is another good one. Enjoy!
