Today's SOTD is courtesy of Dapper Dragon Soaps Obi Hill #soap and Tabac Man #aftershave, #EdT and #deo!
I've reviewed Obi Hill before by #dapperdragnsoap so I won't repeat that here. The difference is, thanks to Mark Todd I was able to get a hold of a full-sized tub of this limited release (thank you!!). I loaded up from the tub as normal (25-30s) and it whipped up into gobs of lighter, creamy lather with great cushion and good glide... Fairly average on that.. But it performed very well just the same. The real headline here is the scent; a sweet tobacco scent where pipe tobacco is combined with vanilla, cherries, apricot and apple. Yum!
I finished off with the #Tabac Man line which I also reviewed previously - including aftershave and EdT and finished off with the deodorant. The aftershave is mediocre at best; quite alcoholic with little in the way of face food. The EdT is nice enough, and where again, the real headline is - the scent. Get ready for this; top notes of orange, bergamot, tangerine, lemon peel, lavender, leafy green accord, peppermint, violet leaves with heart notes of coriander, cardamom, geranium, sequia wood, vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood, oak moss and finally, base notes balsam pine, muscatel, clary sage, tonka bean and vanilla! Very nice scent, so-so longevity except on clothes. Still, very nice.
Hardware today included the now usual #StandardRazors razor with a #PolSilver blade on shave four, #BSB Shaving Brush and of course, the #GTP scuttle which could barely contain all the suds.
The scents are outstanding, the performance relatively so-so, but a very nice, tobacco-flavored shave today just the same!
