Going full-on purple today with the appropriately named Barrister and Mann Tuesday #soap and #aftershave in a repeat shave with a special, matching brush.

The perfect compliment to our Just Right for a Tuesday EdP, Tuesday is a crisp, slightly spicy blend of lavender and violet meant for those days when you don’t want anything too fussy, sweet, or heavy. The combination produces a firmly unisex floral that’s at home anywhere, at any time, and will brighten your shave, morning or night.

Let the flowers out.

On June 2, 2018 Barrister and Mann released two soap/aftershave products; one named Tuesday (and seen here) and Patches. It's your typical Glissant and Tonique bases, and I've covered the scent in the prior review... I refer you to the original in-depth review of Tuesday for the details, then. Naturally, it's in the History of Barrister and Mann. Here's a quick recap of that review:

The official notes are simply lavender and violets. Tuesday is meant to be a complement to Just Right for a Tuesday (which itself has top notes of green fig, black pepper, lavender and nutmeg; middle notes of violet, iris, rose and allspice and base notes of vetiver, benzoin, rose and ambergris). It's a rather simple, two-dimensional scent of lavender and violet. It definitely smells nice and subtle; genuinely "purple" if you will. There's nothing that grabs you. If you already have one or more of a ton of lavender scents out there, Tuesday doesn't really bring anything to the table. The two notes are nicely balanced - unfortunately, I was hoping for more violet. Go instead for the lavender, and there's perhaps nothing finer than Barrister's Reserve Lavender. Scent strength is a lighter medium with a fairly short, 2-3 hour longevity. I boosted the signal with L'Occitane en Provence Lavender.

Hardware today consisted of the #TataraRazors Masamune razor with a #Feather blade on shave five (last used on May 21, 2018!). The brush is the real star of the show today. It's made by #LeoFrilot and one of four. Each is made with the 3D resin that I love - with a matching knot. You can check out blue, red and green from other shaves, if you're following along. The knots are essentially a Tuxedo knot in 24mm but these colors replace the normally white tips. The red one you might recognize as "the Blood knot" as it's called by some. The #GTP scuttle did it's thang.

A lovely shave with some right colorful bit of kit today! If I sounded down on the scent of Tuesday I'm really not... It smells awesome. But the violet wasn't enough to really make it unique enough in a crowded lavender scented shaving software market. But hey, it's #BarristerMann - so that's reason enough to have it, if you ask me. I just wanted to show off the brush!
