Dat ass milk doh! Wholly Kaw Fougére Bouquet (special edition) #soap with donkey milk and standard #balm strike again!

I actually extensively reviewed the Fougére Bouquet special edition soap and standard balm from #WhollyKaw before. I don't know that there's too much to add except this was another awe inspiring shave in the can. I'll reiterate that one should use a scant amount of the balm as it's super effective (and feels amazing on the face). Also a quick note on the soap. Load it just a bit less than usual. Although it may appear that you didn't load enough, once you work it - it explodes in volume. Add water slowly to taste.

I've reviewed Wholly Kaw a fair amount on this site, and the reviews have kind of followed along their transformation - from an underrated artisan to one I would place in the top tier today. Check out my review of Washington's Blend (which was then their new tallow formula) followed by a review of Fern Concerto - also a really nice soap and scent. They've come a long way from their earlier vegan formula, of which I had a mixed review about Almond Medley. The latest changes at #WhollyKaw include all-new, professionally designed and printed, waterproof labels that look fabulous and the addition of donkey milk (affectionately called "ass milk") in select offerings... Including this special edition Fougére Bouquet soap.

Since I don't have the aftershave, I went with Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio #deo and #EdT for the finish. Granted, it's more of an aquatic, but paired very nicely. I use it with a lot of software as it's a good go-to scent, and I have the full line-up.

When you have three full days of growth to mow down, nothing says "scorched earth" like the #Mühle #R41 razor; seen here with the RazorRock Halo handle in titanium (more on that here) fitted with an #Astra blade on shave three. I usually replace the blades in this razor after two shaves, but it did great today... Between the soap and the milder, slightly broken in blade - it was just super smooth - and super close! BBS shave all the way. In fact, after the first pass I could've walked away. I wish I could use this razor every day, but it's just not in the cards. Suffice to say, no whisker escapes this razor's wrath. The #BSB Shaving Brush made quick work of loading, lathering and applying the super suds while my trusted #GTP scuttle kept it all nice and toasty.

This soap base/formula is gold. While the Wholly Kaw tallow base was already pretty good, this one launched them into the top tier, with no reservations. First seen in Monaco Royale and now in their latest, Man from Mayfair - it should be in everyone's den. Seriously, get yourself a tub of this stuff. Hopefully we'll see a re-release of this particular scent (or even as a regular offering) and either way, I'm definitely eager to see more under the donkey milk umbrella.
