Shaving Product Review - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Lavender Cedar"
Today's SOTD is brought to you by #PAA Lavender Cedar #soap and #aftershave. A Petal Pusher Fancies original scent; it's been around for a while but doesn't get enough love...
As you may have guessed, the top note is very woody... But it's got more going on. It's tempered by the lavender... Which surprisingly, you start to smell more as a mid note. I'd have guessed it the other way around... As it dries down, the lavender pretty much takes over and sticks around, but it's not a pure scent; the cedar seems to alter it bit. The scent strength isn't huge on this one; it's nice and subtle. I could've sworn that a sample I tried was/stayed more "lavendery."
The hardware is my now-trusty #BSB Shaving Brush, which makes quick work of Synergy soaps in the #GTP scuttle. The long handle lets you hold it by the fingertips and whizz it around... Producing insane amounts of creamy lather. The whiskers were whacked by the #Merkur #Futur razor with a #Gillette 7 O'clock (black) blade on shave two - so in the sweet spot. Super close, lovely shave - and smelling great!
