Shaving Product Review - L&L Grooming "TSM Fougére" and
Chatillon Lux "TSM Fougére"

Ahhh, fougére... French for fern. Gotta love the awesome greenness of the wide-ranging accord. A hard-hitter, is the collaboration between Chatillon Lux and L&L Grooming to put together the TSM Fougére #soap and #aftershave combo.

This is an interesting scent. Not only is it a collaboration between #ChatillonLux and #LandLGrooming - but was created for a Facebook group. At first it was an exclusive offering, but later went on as a permanent offering between the two artisans. Unfortunately, you'll need to buy one from the former, the other from the latter - unless you go to a third-party vendor (that carries both). Might be worth it, if the shipping come out better.

I wrote a full review of the soap and scent before along with a follow-up review of the aftershave so let's leave that stuff there for your perusal. Check it out; it's a deep, exquisite fougére with an impressive accord; notes of oakmoss, incense, lavender, vetiver, neroli, tonka bean, petitgrain, nagarmotha, clary sage, cedarwood, grass, musk, bergamot, grapefruit, Spanish moss, violet, geranium, violet leaf and anise. The performance of the respective products is absolutely top-notch.

The lucky hardware for today is the #StandardRazors razor with a fresh #PolSilver blade. My brush of choice for the soft, sometimes goopy L&L Grooming soaps is the #SOC. Nice and wet, its stiff bristles load the soap without bogging down. Whipping this sweetness into shape in the #GTP scuttle, it also kept the lather nice and warm for the duration.

I love shaves involving either vendor - but when they come together - it's magic. Both vendors are at the top of the game and great scents are usually a given. Sometimes these collabs are fleeting and limited run type affairs... So keep an eye and ear out and jump on the chance. I made the mistake of waffling on the Champs de Levande combo and I've been regretting it ever since.
