Shaving Product Review - Through the Fire Fine Craft "Alchemy"

Today's SOTD is courtesy of the fine alchemy over at Through the Fire Fine Craft in the way of their Alchemy #soap and #aftershave software combo, which is exclusive to Pasteur Pharmacy in NYC!

I actually did this exact same shave and gave a full review of Alchemy there, along with this follow-up shave and review so definitely check those out. Long and short of it is, it's a take on Burberry Summer for Men which debuted in 2007 - it features pineapple, tonka bean, musk, mint, caraway and cedar notes. Really a very, very nice scent. Cologne like, medium in strength and a couple of hours duration. Like the follow-up shave, the lather was spot-on and performed wonderfully with ample creamy lather with lots of cushion and quite good glide. The aftershave produced similar performance; it left my face feeling soft and smooth with no tackiness.

Hardware today included my freshly cleaned razor - the #StandardRazors razor with a fresh #PolSilver blade. The similarly freshly reconditioned brush, the #BSB Shaving Brush - whipped up the lather in fine style in the #GTP scuttle. The brush had a slight whorl in the center from near daily use for a year and a half and I'm happy to report it's gone and as good as new!

A really, really nice shave today. Super close thanks to a fresh blade, and a freshly tuned up razor and brush was just icing on the cake. The software performed to a tee - my hat's off to #ttffcrafts on this (re)creation.
