Barrister's Reserve

Shaving Product Review - Barrister's Reserve "Cool"

Value (Cost, Packaging and Performance)

Lather (Density, Glide and Feel)

Post-shave (Healing, Moisture and Feel)

Scent (Quality, Strength and Longevity)

Each bar has three metrics, each representing 33% of the total (11% = below-avg, 22% = avg, 33% = above-avg, except cost)

Comparing to Floïd Blue or Myrsol Blue (F/Extra) is this faithful recreation with top-shelf, modern ingredients from Barrister and Mann called Barrister's Reserve Cool in #soap and #aftershave.

Perfect for a hot day, lightly mentholated Barrister's Reserve: Cool is refreshingly light and crisp. Based on a classic Italian barbershop staple, notes of bergamot, lemon, and lavender combine for a bracing, invigorating scent versatile enough to wear with your favorite cologne.

For the full (and extensive) background, check out my first impression of Barrister's Reserve aftershaves and specifically, my review of the Cool aftershave (and scent). I've also done a review of this combo before. There's not too much to add, really - typical #BarristerMann quality!

Hardware for this round included the all-black #StandardRazors piece with a #Gillette Silver Blue blade on shave four. The brush is the highlight today; a unique and lovely piece from #WildWestBrushworks called Topaz Mesh sporting a 26mm BOSS knot. The transparent, 3D ribbony resin is amazing in person; the picture does not do it enough justice. Naturally, the #GTP scuttle kept the lather nice and warm throughout.

Just what I needed after a 12-day vacation... A change of hardware and software! And today's goodies did not disappoint.
