Breaking out an old German classic today - Maurer & Wirtz Tabac (Original) in a #soap, #aftershave, #deo and #EdT!

TABAC ORIGINAL is a sophisticated composition fragranced with peppery-spicy notes and elegantly rounded off by exotic woods, musk, ambergris and a floral complex. An unmistakable fragrance with a discreet presence.

Once again, I realized that I hadn't used (what should be) a staple in every shave den in too long... Tabac! I've done recent shaves with the soap (review here) and shaves with the cream (reviews here and here) - so check those out for more in-depth info. Today was a warmer (but rainy) day, so I decided to go with the lighter aftershave over the balm; both have an amazing face feel.

Hardware today consisted of the "mild edition" #TimelessRazor with a .68mm blade gap, polished, all stainless steel head sporting a smooth top cap and straight bars with a #PolSilver blade on shave two. The handle is a titanium #Stork called RWD/Ti that debuted last week. The brush is polished titanium #BSB Shaving Brush. Combined with heavier than usual loading, it was a lather bomb.

I don't usually use a mild razor on Monday mornings... But something about it called to me today. With a weekend's worth of growth to mow down, I barely felt the blade at any point in the shave. Combined with the mountain of #Tabac lather, it was ridiculously smooth from start to finish! I actually wondered at times if something wasn't quite right, it was that smooth - but the shave was as close as can be. And of course, smelling good!
