Entre Bulles et Moi

Shaving Product Review - Entre Bulles et Moi "RazzBocket"

Today's SOTD features an interesting soap from an artisan probably not many of you have heard of... Entre Bulles et Moi or "Bubbles and Me" is the work of Marilyn Tremblay out of Québec, Canada and founded in 2009. Today's soap is called RazzBocket.

This #EntreBullesEtMoi soap sample was courtesy of Lorne Lehrer - thank you!!

An interesting soap, containing Vire-Capot beer from the Lac Saint-Jean Microbrewery (in the town from which she's based). The beer doesn't impart a scent of its own, but the soap features top notes of lemon and orange; middle notes of eucalyptus, spearmint, parsley and lavender and finally, base notes of soft woods and sage. The scent is complex and a bit unique. I'd call it a fougére; slightly citrusy, woodsy and green - which is rounded by the lavender with a twang courtesy of the eucalyptus and spearmint. Really nice! It comes in at a scent strength on the stronger side of medium. The ingredients are surprisingly simple:

Stearic acid, tallow, coconut oil, water, beer, shea butter, castor oil, fragrance and silk.

A small pinch in the #GTP scuttle whipped into submission with the #BSB Shaving Brush made abundant, fairly creamy and cushioning lather with good glide and secondary lubricity. I was quite pleasantly surprised! It made for a great shave that was comfortable and free of any irritation, and left my face smooth without dryness. The #StandardRazors razor with a #PolSilver blade on shave five made for a lovely, close shave.

I finished off with Drakkar Noir #balm, #deo and #EdT which went rather well with the soap, as it shares a lots of similar notes - also considered a fougére.

A really nice shave today with some great products. If you've never heard of Entre Bulles et Moi then check them out. There's a handful of shaving and regular soaps, along with aftershave/beard oil in different scents. If they're anything like this one, you're in for a treat.
