Chatillon Lux revealed today that they will be releasing a new winter seasonal scent on Black Friday - November 25, 2016 - called Unconditional Surrender. It's inspired by Ulysses S. Grant and features notes of amber, tonka bean, cedarwood and agarwood, with cigar tobacco, amyris, vetiver, black tea, jasmine and geranium supporting it! The scent will be made available in all three of the formulations (aftershave, salve and toner) and as an #EdT - along with the much anticipated EdT release of Gratiot League Square.

On Monday, October 24, 2016 - L&L Grooming is releasing their fall seasonal scent called Darkfall in a #soap and #aftershave! The notes are agarwood, amber, treemoss, benzoin, birch tar, cinnamon and clove. The soap will be in their celebrated bison tallow base.

As you can see from the map above, the east coast of America as well as a good chunk of the west... Has been affected by a huge DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack on Dyn which provides DNS (Domain Name Service) for hundreds and hundreds of sites. This affects sites such as Shopify and Etsy, which a lot of shaving artisans and vendors (such as B&M, PAA and K Shave Worx to name a tiny few - full list below) rely on to host their eCommerce sites. Likewise, you can't pay for anything using PayPal for the same reason. Some Friday #drama for y'all. It started at 7am EST and was thought resolved, but is clearly ongoing. Through the Fire Fine Craft has released a pair of #soap and #aftershave combos today, called The Beast and Through the Fire! While the latter has been available previously in their vegan formula, it is now available in tallow as well. I've reviewed #ttfcrafts software previously, and generally had very good things to say about them. More details down below!

If you're a regular reader of the Daily Lather you'll know I'm a fan of K Shave Worx (check out my reviews). I've noticed that with the prior release of 366 that #KShaveWorx is getting more adventurous, with more complex scents. Starting today, they've announced Black Orchid (soap and aftershave)! It's a collab with Hazelet's Apothecary Gentleman's Lounge on Facebook which is described as a special lounge club scent. It does sound good, with top notes of ginger, black pepper and ylang blossom, spicy floral middle of gardenia, jasmine, orchid and clove bud with bottom notes of patchouli, amber, balsam, vanilla, musk, and sandalwood! Whoa. I might have to check out this #soap and #aftershave combo.
