My regular readers will know that I generally consider Saponificio Varesino software to be among the best in the world today. While they don't have a huge catalog, what's there is gold. And each new release makes you wonder how they could have possibly improved upon the previous. Similar to the prior Cosmo release in the new Beta 4.2 formulation, it adds (among other ingredients) Edelweiss Extract (Leontopodium Alpinum) and Hazelnut Oil (Corylus Avellana)... Is a new #soap and #aftershave combo, somewhat appropriately called Stella Alpina (Edelweiss). It has top notes of lemon, bergamot and basil, middle notes of cistus, myrtle and eucalyptus and base notes of cypress and amber. It has been available for a while in another line (notably laundry soap). No release date has been set yet, but we'll keep you posted as soon as we hear something from #SapVaresino.
Similarly to its predecessor, the Cosmo shaving soap, Stella Alpina is featured by a fantastic post-shave effect. By adding the Edelweiss Extract (Leontopodium Alpinum) and Hazelnut Oil (Corylus Avellana), together with a new balancing of the other ingredients, we improved its overall performances during the shave.
Stella Alpina Aftershave contains:
- Stella Alpina (BIO): Antioxidant – Prevents the loss of collagen, has a firming and toning effect
- Urea: Moisturizing, Softening.
- Vitamin E: Anti-inflammatory, Emollient
- Almond (BIO): Soothing, Emollient
- Vitamin B5: Moisturizing, Emollient, Soothing
- Chamomile: Soothing, Antibacterial, Emollient, Refreshing
- Aloe (BIO): Healing
- Lavender: Antibacterial, Moisturizing

We are proud to announce that our new line Stella Alpina is now available. This is our second shaving soap based on the Beta 4.2 Formulation. Similarly to its predecessor, the Cosmo shaving soap, Stella Alpina is featured by a fantastic post-shave effect. In addition, by choosing the Edelweiss Extract (Leontopodium Alpinum) and Hazelnut Oil (Corylus Avellana) as special ingredients, together with a new balancing of the whole formula, we improved its overall performances during the shave.
Stella Alpina Aftershave has a particular formulation, between an alcoholic EDT (we use vegetable origin alcohol only) and a fluid cream, and is featured by a filmogenic action on the skin.
This new formulation has been developed to enhance the moisturizing and softening properties of the Stella Alpina Shaving Soap.
