Shaving Product Review - K Shave Worx "Raspberry Vanilla"
Another SOTD with the August 2016 NYC Meet-Up #soap and #aftershave by K Shave Worx called Raspberry Vanilla (Mulberry St. Gelato)!
I've reviewed this combo before by #kshaveworx. I tried a little more water and the lather just exploded; tons of it. Still a creamy lather with excellent cushion, good glide and decent secondary lubricity but I think the sweet spot is in between these shaves for just a little more density on the lather. Either way, the soap can take a nice range of water, depending on how you like it. The aftershave worked as the last time; soft and smooth without being tacky. Not too heavy on moisturizing, so it's a great warm weather option. The scent of course, was just awesome... I do love raspberry and exactly why I picked up two sets of this.
Again, to finish off, I decided to go with #Guerlain L'Homme L'Eau Boisée which I think was a perfect fit; light and fresh, very summery. It's sort of a woody chypre, with notes of lime and mint at the top, a heart of rum and base notes of woods and vetiver.
Hardware today consisted of my #StandardRazors razor with a #PolSilver blade on shave three. The #BSB Shaving Brush did the needful in the #GTP scuttle.
A nice shave again today courtesy of "the K crew." I'm thinking about picking up a combo set of Frosen and Berry Blast. While I love deep, complex scents... I also enjoy simple(r) ones, especially florals and fruits. The performance is good, and the value outstanding... $17 for a full 6oz. of soap and $12 for the matching 100ml of aftershave is a sweet deal.
