Shaving Product Review - Barrister and Mann "Arctique" and
Laila "Geir Ness"

Shaaaaave... Like a Norwegian! This SOTD combines the bone-chilling performance of Barrister and Mann Arctique #soap and #aftershave with Laila Geir Ness #EdP recall a hike down a wooded, flowery path amongst the fjords in the chill of spring!

I've talked about #BarristerMann Arctique at length before (http://tinyurl.com/pw6uebb and http://tinyurl.com/qehmvyz) but it bears repeating; the performance is solid. I loaded a little longer, a little harder - and got a nice and dense, decently slick lather. The killer feature though is the very chilling effect of menthol here... Followed up with the matching aftershave over my entire face and neck (I'm crazy like that) and it was like sticking my head in the cold remnants of the Norwegian snow alongside the trail, as I made my way down into the valley...

...Where the Geir Ness took over. This potent #EdP I've reviewed before as well (http://tinyurl.com/qhgk7rx) and it made for the perfect finish for this shave. Herb and citrus top notes - the latter tempering the former. As it dries down, the floral and wood heart notes come in. At the base is a spicy wood scent no doubt the herbs adding complexity. Having arrived at the valley floor, the scent completed the journey - yet will remind me throughout the day.

A great shave today, having used the #Merkur #Futur razor fitted with a #PolSilver blade on shave two. Managed a lovely BBS- today with little effort. Its matte finish against the shiny titanium of the #BSB Shaving Brush was like the melting ice on the rocks - as my face went numb from the cold wind along the way. The #GTP scuttle held onto the frigid suds.
