Shaving Product Review - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Mal Pais"
#PAA Mal Pais in the bottle has a leathery, cedar alcohol smell. Once applied, the alcohol disappears and you get a full head of leather. On dry down it begins to fade a little into mesquite, a touch of bay rum - some pepper. It's a spicy, woody affair on the mid notes. On the base, the spice gives way to a hint of tobacco (but not readily identifiable like Cavendish or Malbolge) - along with cedar and a a touch of leather to round out the scent at the end. It just smells like a really good, masculine, men's cologne. This should be a real hit!
The hardware today consisted of the #Mühle #R41 razor - simply because I wanted a nice, close FriYAY! shave... Easily accomplished with this bad boy. The #SOC brush seemed to fit the scent, with its cherry wood handle... The color reminding me of sandstone of the west. The #GTP scuttle kept the awesome smelling suds in check.
