Dig the intensely rich, damp and smoky rose of Tallow + Steel Morocco #soap and #aftershave (from their all-new 2017 lineup).

Morocco unlocks the intense aroma of the Atlas mountains - where wild roses are carefully handpicked at dawn by locals to retain the dewy morning freshness. It is from these roses that some of the world's finest rose oil is made. Nobody knows for sure how roses first came to this remote region of Morocco, but legend has it that merchants from Damascus introduced them to the area long ago.

Combined with the undertones of Mediterranean cypress and Atlas cedar, powdery oakmoss and the delicious smokiness of cade provide a perfect counterpoint to the sweet Moroccan rose.

Morocco is a truly unique scent originating from the heart of these African mountains; just as the rose traveled from ancient Syria to the heart of Morocco, this intoxicating scent will travel to you.

I've written two very extensive articles on the new line, the first being Meet the All-new Tallow + Steel Products with the follow-up Tallow + Steel 2017 - First Impressions which covers the reformulations and performance (besides other aspects) and an in-depth review of Morocco explicitly, covering the scent. So check all those out for the backstory.

Hardware wise, there shouldn't be any surprises for the regulars here either. The razor is a #TataraRazors Masamune with a #Feather blade on shave four. Check out the in-depth review of the Masamune for the details there. Smooth shave, as always. A nice break from ripping it up over the last couple. The brush is a beauty from #LowbornSupply with a 24mm BOSS knot. I really like these knots, even a bit more than the Tuxedo as they're just a touch softer in overall feel and backbone, and the single color works in a lot of brushes (especially today's). The #GTP scuttle brought up the rear and kept things warm.

A lovely, if mellow shave today with some great hardware and software! If you haven't tried #tallowandsteel, give them a look. Great bases and some truly unique scents, with fierce packaging. The razor's a real gem too, if you like them on the mellower side. Efficient enough, but super smooth and of course, top tier craftsmanship. Shave on!
