The second go around today with the Chatillon Lux and L&L Grooming collaboration of Rose Santal in a #soap and #balm combo with an #EdT finish.

Rose Santal is a dusty, sultry rose and sandalwood scent with spicy and subtly sparkling sweet undertones. It was built of the Santal Auster sandalwood accord, a creamy, rich sandalwood built from scratch using the highest quality raw perfumery materials. On top of that is Rose Verte accord, which is a dusty rose smell with a sparkling undertone, designed to complement Santal Auster as a hybrid rose accord. It is rounded it out with a subtle spice from cardamom essential oil and Indian black pepper essential oil, all supported by the rich, animalic undertones of labdanum absolute.

I've reviewed a lot of both #landlgrooming and #chatillonlux here (click on either hashtag to see them all) and specifically reviewed Rose Santal before so I won't get into any of that today. I did get to use the salve (balm) this time around though, and as I expected from past experience... It was sublime all around. Rose and sandalwood filled my nose from shave to over six hours later (and still going). Huzzah!

Hardware for this Monday shave was, what else, but the #TimelessRazor "aggressive edition" with a fresh #PolSilver blade. I polished it up a bit over the weekend, washed it in dish soap (to clean off any residue from polishing) and it's gleaming like new... Performing like it too. Super nice shave today, with the #SOC brush doing its business in the #GTP scuttle. Stay tuned for tomorrow's shave for the debut and maiden voyage of a fresh piece of kit!

Roses. Sandalwood. Yes, oh yes. If you waffled on this stuff, I hate to say it... But you're missing out.
